Ufone users across Pakistan may face service interruptions as prolonged electricity loadshedding continues to disrupt telecom operations nationwide.
In a statement,Ufone said extended and frequent power outages, in many areas lasting eight hours or more, are severely affecting its ability to maintain uninterrupted mobile services.
The company explained that most telecom infrastructure relies on backup battery systems installed at cellular sites to keep networks operational during power failures. However, these battery banks require at least three to four hours of continuous electricity supply to recharge fully.
Ufone said the ongoing pattern of repeated outages is preventing batteries from completing their charging cycles which is reducing thee overall backup power capacity and leading to network instability in several regions.
The operator added that normal service levels are expected to resume once electricity supply becomes stable and load shedding pressures ease.
