Rupee Ends Session Slightly Higher Against US Dollar After Oil Crash

The Pakistani rupee (PKR) closed in green against the US Dollar (USD) for the 176th consecutive day on Wednesday.

The PKR closed at 278.36 after gaining one paisa against the US Dollar today.

The PKR is expected to extend its slow win streak against US Dollar to at least 6 months.

Today’s gains come after oil prices fell as low as $88 per barrel in the past 24 hours after the US-Iran war situation got a little out of hand.

Other Currencies

PKR Was stable against the UAE Dirham (AED) and also the Saudi Riyal (SAR).

Meanwhile, it lost 47 paisas against the British Pound (GBP) and 33 paisas against the Euro (EUR).

It gained Rs. 1.04 against the Australian Dollar (AUD) and remained stable against the Canadian Dollar (CAD).
