The Sindh cabinet has approved the restoration of the deceased quota for government jobs during a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah at the Chief Minister’s House in Karachi.
According to a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s spokesperson Abdul Rasheed Channa, the decision was taken after consultation within the provincial cabinet.
The chief minister directed authorities to review all cases under the deceased quota up to September 2024 and decide them on merit.
The move is expected to address pending cases related to families of deceased government employees seeking employment under the quota system.
