Redmi Book 2026 Series Becomes Official with Intel Core Ultra Power And 80Wh Batteries

Xiaomi has officially introduced the Redmi Book 14 (2026) and Redmi Book 16 (2026) laptops in China as a refresh to the 2025 variants with updated hardware while keeping a similar overall design.

Shared Specifications

Both the Redmi Book 14 and Redmi Book 16 are powered by Intel’s Core Ultra 5 125H processor, a 14-core, 18-thread chip built for thin-and-light laptops. Xiaomi said the systems can deliver up to 60W of performance, supported by dual fans and dual heat pipes for cooling.

Memory and storage options include up to 32GB LPDDR5X RAM running at 7467MT/s and up to 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD storage. The laptops also support M.2 storage expansion.

Battery and Connectivity

Each model includes an 80Wh battery and ships with a 100W GaN USB-C charger. Xiaomi said the charger can also fast-charge smartphones.

Features tied to Xiaomi’s ecosystem include cross-device camera support, NFC, unified device control, and keyboard and mouse sharing.

Ports include Thunderbolt 4, full-function USB-C, HDMI 2.1, USB-A, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Key Differences

The main differences are size, display, and weight. The Redmi Book 14 (2026) features a 14-inch 2.8K display with 2880 x 1800 resolution and peak brightness of 500 nits. The Redmi Book 16 (2026) uses a 16-inch 2.5K display with 2560 x 1600 resolution and 400 nits brightness.

Both screens support a 120Hz refresh rate and use glossy panels. The 14-inch model weighs around 1.49kg, while the 16-inch version weighs 1.86kg.

Pricing

The Redmi Book 14 (2026) starts at $900 for the 16GB + 512GB model. The 16GB + 1TB version costs $975, while the 32GB + 1TB variant is priced at $1,050.

The Redmi Book 16 (2026) starts at $930 for the 16GB + 512GB model. The 16GB + 1TB version costs $1,005, while the 32GB + 1TB model is priced at $1,080.

Availability

Both laptops are on sale now in China, but they should make it to the international market soon enough.
