Punjab Traffic Police has begun enforcing a new road safety initiative focused on improving traffic flow and discipline across the province.
DIG Traffic Punjab said the drive aims to make roads safer and more orderly by ensuring strict compliance with lane discipline. Motorcycles and slow-moving vehicles will be required to use the extreme left lane.

A long awaited good decision which will help to maintain the traffic flow on busy roads and decrease road accidents. But it will be a hard task for the traffic police to implement this rule in Lahore. Let’s see and hope for the best.
Hats off to CM Punjab for her leadership and Governance. Every time I visit Punjab I am impressed with the cleanliness and law and order in Punjab even in rural areas.
Bravo Madam Maryam Nawaz
It’s very good and positive initiative, but it will only be applied in Lahore or max Rawalpindi, other cities don’t get this type of implementation. Underage motorcyclists, uneducated persons are common in small and medium sized cities. This is also the mistake of traffic wardens they didn’t try to enforce the rules as rules always existed.
