Soneri Bank to Launch Asset Management Company With Rs. 1 Billion Investment

Soneri Bank Limited is setting up a new asset management company with an initial investment of Rs. 1 billion to expand its business operations, according to the bank’s notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange.

The bank said its board of directors approved the move in its 216th meeting held on April 27, 2026.

The proposed asset management company will be established as a wholly owned subsidiary, subject to regulatory approvals from the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan and other authorities.

According to the disclosure, the new company will have an initial paid-up capital of Rs. 1,000 million, which will be fully funded by Soneri Bank.

The move is aimed at diversifying the bank’s operations and entering Pakistan’s growing asset management and investment sector.

Soneri Bank, a listed commercial bank operating in Pakistan for over three decades, provides conventional and Islamic banking services across the country.

The bank said further updates on the development will be shared once regulatory approvals and next steps are finalized.
