The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), all banks and financial institutions will remain closed on Friday (May 01) in connection with Labour Day.
“The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed on May 01, 2026, (Friday) being public holiday on the occasion of Labour Day, as declared by the Government of Pakistan,” the central bank announced on Tuesday.
Subsequently, in observance of the Labour Day, all banks, Micro Finance Banks and Development Finance Institution, will also remain closed on May 1, 2026.
