The Sindh Cabinet has approved the design of a new bridge to be built over the Indus River between Hyderabad and Kotri during a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.
The chief minister said the new bridge would provide major relief for the movement of traffic between different parts of the country and improve connectivity in the region.
In the same meeting, the cabinet also approved Rs. 6.5 billion for the rehabilitation of roads in Karachi. Murad Ali Shah directed officials to begin repair work at the earliest and ensure the immediate release of funds.
The cabinet further cleared Rs. 2 billion for Karachi’s S-3 project as part of ongoing development spending in the city.
It also allocated Rs. 48.9 million for the digitalization of the district judicial system. The chief minister said modernizing the court system was an important step to improve public services and make judicial processes more efficient.
In addition, the cabinet approved Rs. 432.597 million for the construction of four new courts in Moro.
A separate grant of Rs. 25 million was also approved for Pir Ilahi Bux Law College in Dadu.
The approvals reflect the provincial government’s focus on transport infrastructure, urban rehabilitation and judicial sector upgrades under its latest development decisions.
