The Punjab government has launched the Chief Minister Stroke Program to provide free and timely treatment to stroke patients across the province.
Under the initiative, citizens experiencing stroke symptoms have been directed to immediately call Rescue 1122 for emergency assistance. A dedicated WhatsApp helpline (0333-6756390) has also been introduced to facilitate quick medical guidance and response.
The program aims to ensure rapid diagnosis, emergency care, and specialist treatment during the critical “golden hours,” which doctors say are crucial for saving lives and reducing long-term disability.
Health authorities have emphasized that stroke patients will now receive faster access to medical support through an integrated emergency response system, linking hospitals, rescue services, and specialist doctors.
The initiative is part of broader healthcare reforms in Punjab focused on improving emergency care and strengthening critical disease management across the province.
Officials have urged the public to recognize early stroke symptoms and seek immediate medical help without delay.
