White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, the youngest person ever to hold the position, has welcomed her second child, a baby girl named Viviana, affectionately called “Vivi.”
The newborn arrived on May 1, 2026, joining her older brother Niko, who turns two in July.
Leavitt shared the happy news via social media, writing that Viviana is “healthy and perfect,” and that her big brother is “happily adapting” to his new sibling. The family is “cherishing every moment in our delightful newborn bubble” during this special time.
Appointed in January 2025 after President Trump’s reelection, the 28-year-old Leavitt began maternity leave in April, briefly returning after the White House Correspondents’ Dinner incident on April 24.
Officials like Secretary of State Marco Rubio have stepped in for briefings, with Rubio jokingly calling one session “chaos”.
Leavitt and husband Nicholas Riccio, married since 2023, first became parents in 2024. Her trailblazing career continues to inspire as she navigates these personal milestones.
