Deadline Announced for Benazir Bhutto Flyover Completion

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has directed authorities to complete the Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Flyover project in Hyderabad by the first week of July.

While chairing a meeting at CM House, the chief minister said he would personally visit Hyderabad in July and inaugurate the flyover for traffic. Murad Ali Shah directed Sindh ministers Nasir Hussain Shah, Jam Khan Shoro, and Haji Ali Hassan Zardari to work together to ensure timely completion of the project.

During the briefing, the chief minister was informed that the land acquisition process had been completed in 2018, but construction work faced delays due to litigation and other issues.

The flyover project was originally part of a federally funded road scheme connecting Hyderabad Bypass to Ghangra Mori on the left bank of Akram Wah. Officials informed the meeting that major civil work, including casting of 24 bridge girders, had already been completed, but the project still remains unfinished.

Murad Ali Shah directed the departments concerned to immediately resume work and resolve all technical, financial, and administrative issues delaying the project. He said the flyover was important for reducing traffic congestion and improving connectivity in Hyderabad.
