Rawalpindi Traffic Police has launched a new digital traffic challan system called “One App” aimed at improving transparency and verification during traffic enforcement operations.
According to traffic police officials, the system introduces evidence based traffic challans in Rawalpindi, with video recording made mandatory during enforcement procedures.
Officials said video evidence of traffic violations will be available for verification and security purposes to ensure transparency in challan issuance.
Under the new system, verification of CNICs and driving licenses will also be carried out on the spot. Authorities said the application will additionally verify vehicle ownership details, fitness certificates, and route permits during enforcement operations.
The digital system will also be used in cases related to encroachments and environmental violations.
Traffic police said FIR status and e-challans will be checked through an integrated digital platform, while citizens will be able to receive details of traffic violations through QR codes. Chief Traffic Officer Farhan Aslam said the One App system would help improve discipline and security on roads.
