Two senior officials of University of Gwadar have reportedly gone missing during a road trip from Gwadar to Quetta, raising fears of a possible abduction in Balochistan’s Mastung district.
According to family members, Vice Chancellor Dr. Abdul Razzaq Sabir and Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Syed Manzoor Ahmed were traveling in an official vehicle when communication with them suddenly stopped.
University sources suspect the two academicians may have been kidnapped along with their vehicle somewhere near Mastung.
Bahram Saleem confirmed the incident and said local authorities are coordinating with the families to gather information and trace the missing officials.
He added that contact with the university officials was reportedly lost after they entered the Mastung area.
No group has claimed responsibility for the suspected abduction so far, while authorities have yet to share further details about the ongoing search efforts.
