Trump Mobile Finally Launched After Long Delay

Trump Mobile said Wednesday it has started shipping its delayed $499 T1 smartphones to customers.

The gold-plated device was originally scheduled for release in August last year.

Delayed Release

The Trump Organization launched Trump Mobile in June last year under a trademark licensing arrangement. The company initially postponed the T1 smartphone launch to October and later delayed it again until this week.

According to Reuters, Trump Mobile CEO Pat O’Brien said the company used the additional time to complete development and testing work to ensure the phone’s components met quality standards.
