Ugreen has introduced a new portable monitor called the AP16 in China.
The monitor combines a high refresh rate display with a slim metal body and is priced at $264.
The Ugreen AP16 features a 16-inch IPS panel supplied by BOE. The display offers a resolution of 2560 x 1600 and uses a 16:10 aspect ratio, providing more vertical screen space compared with standard 16:9 displays. The monitor also supports a 165Hz refresh rate.
According to Ugreen, the panel reaches up to 500 nits of brightness and delivers a 1200:1 contrast ratio. The display covers 100% of the sRGB color gamut and supports 10-bit color using 8-bit plus FRC technology.
The monitor also includes factory calibration with Delta E below 2 for improved color accuracy. For eye comfort, the AP16 carries TÜV Rheinland low blue light certification.
The AP16 uses a metal unibody design. It measures 6.5mm thick and weighs 928 grams, making it portable enough to carry alongside a laptop.
Instead of a built-in kickstand, Ugreen includes a magnetic stand that supports both landscape and portrait orientations with multiple tilt adjustment options.
The monitor includes two full-function USB-C ports and one Mini HDMI port. The USB-C ports also support pass-through charging.
The AP16 is compatible with devices including MacBooks, iPads, newer iPhones, Windows laptops, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation consoles, and handheld gaming systems from Asus and Lenovo.
Ugreen has also included dual stereo speakers for basic audio output.
