Karachi to Take Action Against People Throwing Animal Waste on Roads During Eid

Karachi authorities have decided to launch action against people found throwing or tearing apart sacrificial animal waste on roads and in open spaces during Eid ul Adha.

The decision was taken at a meeting held at the Commissioner Office to review arrangements for the collection and disposal of animal remains during the religious festival.

During the meeting chaired by the Karachi commissioner, officials decided that strict action would be taken against those who dump offal on roads or in public spaces.

The commissioner said vigilance committees would be set up in all districts under the supervision of assistant commissioners.

These committees will be responsible for monitoring cleanliness arrangements and ensuring that animal waste is properly collected and removed.

Officials also decided to strengthen enforcement against the dumping and tearing of offal on roads, including the registration of FIRs in serious cases.

In addition, citizens will be able to lodge complaints related to animal waste through Commissioner Karachi Rescue 1299, which will be used to report sanitation issues during Eid.
