Even Huawei’s Office Monitors Have 4K 160Hz Specs With IPS

Huawei has announced the Qingyun M273U in China as a 27-inch 4K monitor built mainly for office and enterprise use.

The monitor also includes some specifications usually found in gaming displays, including a high refresh rate and a dual-mode display option.

Display and Refresh Rate

The Huawei Qingyun M273U uses an IPS panel with a standard 16:9 aspect ratio and a 3840 x 2160 resolution. Unlike most office monitors that usually offer a 60Hz refresh rate, this model supports a 160Hz refresh rate. This should make document scrolling and desktop window movement look smoother.

The monitor also includes a dual-mode feature. It can lower the resolution to 1080p and increase the refresh rate to 320Hz.

For color performance, the panel covers 95% of the DCI P3 color gamut and 100% of sRGB. Peak brightness reaches 450 nits, and the monitor supports HDR Vivid.

Two Versions

Huawei is offering the Qingyun M273U in two versions: Standard Edition and Soft Light Edition.

The Soft Light Edition comes with a matte anti-glare finish to reduce reflections from overhead lighting. It also includes hardware-level low blue light and flicker-free certifications to help reduce eye strain.

The Soft Light Edition also features a built-in 4.1 channel speaker system. It includes two 5W full-range drivers, two 3W tweeters, and a 10W subwoofer.

The Standard Edition has a standard glossy finish and does not include built-in speakers.

Ports

Both versions include two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4 connection, and a standard 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Soft Light Edition adds a USB-C port. This single USB-C connection supports 4K 160Hz video output and provides 100W power delivery at the same time.

Software Features

Both monitor versions come with an ergonomic stand. The stand offers 110mm of height adjustment, standard tilt, and a 90-degree pivot, allowing users to use the screen in vertical portrait mode.

The software also includes picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture modes.

Pricing and Availability

Huawei has not announced pricing for either version of the Qingyun M273U. The monitor is currently limited to the Chinese market.
