Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved an increase in the number of members of the Economic Coordination Committee, with Federal Minister for Education Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui added to the body as a member.
Following the prime minister’s approval, an official notification was issued confirming the expansion of the committee.
With the latest addition, the total number of members of the Economic Coordination Committee has risen to nine.
Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui’s inclusion means the federal education minister will now participate in key economic decision-making at the cabinet committee level.
The Economic Coordination Committee is one of the government’s main forums for reviewing and approving important financial, trade, and economic policy matters.
