iQOO has launched the TWS 5i, a new pair of budget wireless earbuds in China.
Audio and Gaming Features
The iQOO TWS 5i uses 10mm drivers, similar to the earlier TWS 3i. The earbuds support iQOO’s in-house Monster Sound audio processing. The feature is designed to adjust audio depending on the type of game being played.
Spatial audio support is also included, with multiple sound modes for games, movies, and general media playback.
For gaming, iQOO says the earbuds can reach latency as low as 42ms over Bluetooth 5.4. This should help reduce noticeable audio delay in fast-paced games such as shooters and racing titles.
The TWS 5i keeps a lightweight design. Each earbud weighs around 4.2 grams, which should help with comfort during longer gaming sessions and daily use.
Battery life is one of the main features of the TWS 5i. iQOO claims the earbuds can deliver up to 11.5 hours of playback on a single charge. With the charging case, total usage can reach around 50 hours. Talk time is rated at about seven hours.
The earbuds include AI-based call noise reduction. They also come with IP54 dust and splash resistance and support connection to two devices at the same time.
However, active noise cancellation is not included. That is expected at this price point, as iQOO appears to be focusing on battery life, gaming features, and daily use instead of competing with more expensive earbuds.
The iQOO TWS 5i is priced at $17 in China.
The earbuds are already available for purchase in the country. iQOO has not confirmed whether it will launch in other markets.
