Electric Car Cheaper Than Suzuki Cultus Launched in Pakistan

Q-Autos has officially launched Chinese automaker Kaiyi in Pakistan, introducing the Kaiyi X3 Pro EV crossover along with two variants of the Kaiyi e-Qute 04 electric hatchback at a launch event in Lahore.

The company entered the market with three electric vehicles, including the X3 Pro EV crossover and the e-Qute 04 hatchback in 300km and 400km range variants. The Kaiyi X3 Pro EV has been launched with a claimed driving range of 401 kilometers on a single charge.

The vehicle carries a regular price of Rs. 7,490,000, while the introductory price for the first 200 units has been set at Rs. 6,790,000. Q-Autos also launched the Kaiyi e-Qute 04 hatchback, which the company positioned between the size categories of the Suzuki Cultus and Suzuki Swift.

The company said the e-Qute 04 includes features such as a 360-degree camera and fast-charging capability. The 300km range variant of the e-Qute 04 has been priced at Rs. 4,490,000, while its introductory price for the first 200 units is Rs. 3,990,000.

The 400km range version carries a regular price of Rs. 5,190,000 and an introductory price of Rs. 4,690,000. Both variants have a booking amount of Rs. 490,000. During the launch event, Q-Autos also previewed the upcoming Kaiyi X7 Hybrid SUV, which is expected to compete in Pakistan’s hybrid crossover segment.

The company further announced plans to establish a local completely knocked down (CKD) assembly plant in Pakistan in the future to support local production and reduce vehicle costs.
