LESCO Introduces Modern Technology to Avoid Electricity Suspension During Monsoon Rainfall

Lahore Electric Supply Company (Lesco) has intensified work on installing modern electrical systems in several parts of the city to ensure an uninterrupted power supply during the monsoon season.

According to Lesco officials, insulated conductors are being laid in areas including Jail Road, Lawrence Road, Shadman and surrounding localities at a cost of several million rupees.

The project aims to significantly reduce power tripping and faults during heavy rainfall.

Officials said the insulated conductors would help maintain the electricity supply even if tree branches come into contact with overhead lines during rain, while also preventing short circuits and unnecessary tripping.

Lesco’s construction circle has already begun laying power lines according to modern standards so that citizens face minimal load-shedding and technical disruptions during the monsoon season.
