The scenic Babusar Top road has reopened for traffic after remaining closed for seven months due to heavy snowfall, providing a major boost to tourism ahead of Eid al-Adha, according to ARY News.
The Mansehra District Administration confirmed that authorities had cleared all major glaciers from the route, fully restoring traffic movement on the highway.
The reopening of the road reconnects the land route between Gilgit-Baltistan and other parts of the country, offering tourists a shorter and more convenient travel option to the northern areas.
Babusar Top remains closed every year between November and December because of heavy snowfall and harsh weather conditions.
Officials expect the restoration of the route to revive tourism and business activities in the region during the Eid holidays and the upcoming summer season.
