Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has announced a temporary reduction in the duration of gas load shedding in Karachi to facilitate residents during Youm-e-Arafah.
According to the company, gas supply will not be suspended during sehr hours. SSGC said gas supply for consumers will be restored at 3 a.m., allowing domestic users to prepare meals without difficulty.
The company stated that the regular gas suspension schedule will resume after 10 a.m. on May 26.
Sources said gas load shedding is also likely to continue in Karachi during Eid ul-Adha. However, a final and official schedule has not yet been issued.
Residents have expressed hope that gas supply hours will be further relaxed during the Eid holidays so that difficulties related to sacrifice arrangements and meal preparation can be reduced.
