India has rolled out sweeping new restrictions ahead of Eid ul Adha, including a complete ban on the slaughter of cows and camels, raising fresh concerns about religious freedoms for Muslims across the country.

We should not make it an issue. Cow is sacred in their eyes and we as Muslims should totally understand cultural sensitivities. Also in my view animals should be slaughtered in designated places as this lead to more organization.
In Pakistan it is the other etreme. Slaughtering animals left right and center, littering the environment with offals. Many animals are bought with haraam money in the name of sacrifice, while not sacrificing any thing really dear as is the true spirit of qurbani. It has become more of a show off than serious religious sunnah.
