Trump Has Threatened or Attacked 15 Countries Since Becoming US President

US President Donald Trump is facing renewed scrutiny over his increasingly aggressive foreign policy rhetoric after warning Oman it could face military action if it attempts to help Iran control the Strait of Hormuz.

According to CNN, Trump’s public statements and military actions across both terms have subjected at least 15 countries to US strikes, threats, or warnings under his leadership.

Most of those incidents have occurred during the first 16 months of his current term.

Since returning to office, Trump has authorized or overseen military strikes in Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, Somalia, Syria, Venezuela, and Yemen. The administration has also conducted operations targeting drug dealers in the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean.

Trump has also publicly threatened or refused to rule out military action against several other countries, including Canada, Colombia, Cuba, Greenland, Mexico, Panama, and now Oman.

Trump’s approach is often referred to as the “madman theory,” in which leaders attempt to intimidate rivals by appearing willing to take extreme action.

The repeated threats and military actions contrast sharply with Trump’s past campaign promises to avoid wars and reduce US involvement.

So far, countries across the Middle East, Africa, North America, South America, and Europe have now been included in his warnings or military operations.
