US No Longer a Superpower: Iran Foreign Minister

Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has declared that the United States is “not a superpower” anymore despite days of military action against it, reported APT News.

“We do not see them as a superpower, and we have shown the whole world that they are not,” Araghchi said.

His comments came as the US military announced it had completed a seventh consecutive night of strikes targeting Iran.

At the same time, attacks in the Gulf and continued disruptions to commercial shipping have increased concerns that the US-Iran war could worsen.

The United States and Iran reached a truce after weeks of intense fighting, but both sides have since accused each other of actions that risk undermining the agreement.

The Islamabad MoU was recently declared suspended and ‘null and void’ after both sides returned to fighting. The US military has been bombing Iran’s vital infrastructure while Tehran has started bombing critical and active US bases in the region.
