KP to Buy Two Rescue Helicopters

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced plans to purchase two helicopters to strengthen disaster relief and rescue operations across the province.

The announcement was made by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Law Minister Aftab Alam during a session of the provincial assembly on Tuesday.

During the proceedings, KP Assembly Speaker Babar Saleem questioned the government’s progress on relief measures announced after the Swat River tragedy. He noted that the provincial government had pledged to acquire large drones for rescue operations following the incident and asked whether they had been procured.
