The 90-kilometer Multan-Vehari Road project is expected to be completed by June 30, with authorities directing officials to ensure that construction work remains on schedule.
During a visit to the project on Monday, Multan Division Commissioner Amir Karim Khan reviewed progress on various sections of the under-construction road and assessed the pace and quality of ongoing work.
Officials informed the commissioner that approximately 80 percent of the project has been completed so far, while the end of June remains the target date for its completion.
The road passes through the districts of Multan, Vehari and Khanewal and is expected to improve transportation, facilitate trade and strengthen connectivity across South Punjab.
The commissioner also inspected a nine-kilometer section of the project stretching from Metla Chowk to Tibba Sultanpur and directed the relevant departments to maintain the construction timeline.
