Trump Says Negotiations Still On 24 Hours After Iran Said Talks Were Suspended

US President Donald Trump has pushed back against reports that Iran suspended negotiations with the United States and insisted that talks are still underway and taking place every day.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump rejected news of a diplomatic pause, saying discussions with Iranian officials have not stopped and have occurred repeatedly over recent days, including “four days ago, three days ago, two days ago, one day ago, and today.”

His remarks came just a day after Iranian state media suggested that Tehran had suspended engagement with Washington amid rising regional tensions, creating sharply conflicting narratives about the status of talks.

Trump dismissed reports of a breakdown, maintaining that communication channels remain open and active, and reiterated that the United States continues to engage with Iran despite public claims from Tehran.

He also reiterated his long-standing position that Iran must reach an agreement, warning that the current situation cannot continue indefinitely after decades of strained relations.
