Police later conducted an inquiry and reviewed CCTV footage, which showed the prisoner leaving the ward at around 6:15 pm with his son, Adnan, an unidentified man, and the two police guards.

According to the footage, the prisoner was brought out of the ward on a wheelchair by his son and the unidentified person before being placed in a private car and taken away.

Police said the two officials assigned to guard the prisoner provided him the opportunity to escape with the help of his son and the unknown accomplice.

A case has now been registered against the escaped prisoner, his son, the unidentified man, and the two police officials. The officials have also been suspended over negligence, while further legal action is underway.
