Valve has confirmed that the Steam Machine and Steam Frame devices are coming this summer.
The company mentioned the launch window in a short blog post, although the update mainly focused on the Verified program. Valve announced both devices in November last year.
Verified Program
The blog post was aimed at developers and confirmed that Steam Machine and Steam Frame are being added to the Verified program.
Valve first launched the program with the Steam Deck. It helps users understand how a game runs on the handheld before they buy it.
Steam Machine Requirements
Valve said the Steam Machine requirements for earning a Verified badge will be almost identical to those for the Steam Deck.
For the Steam Frame VR headset, the Verified badge will reflect the out-of-the-box standalone experience without connecting the device to external hardware.
Pricing Still Unknown
Valve did not share any new details beyond the summer launch window.
Pricing also remains unknown. However, people familiar with the matter suggest the initial pricing may be unpopular because of rising memory chip prices.
Valve has already restocked the Steam Deck at $789 or $949, depending on the configuration. That is a $300 increase.
