Deadline Announced for Mandatory M-Tags on Motorways

One Network has advised motorists to register their M-Tags ahead of the implementation of mandatory M-Tag use on all motorways across Pakistan.

According to an advisory issued by the company, M-Tags will become mandatory for travel on all motorways from June 15, 2026. Motorists have been urged to complete registration to ensure smooth and hassle-free travel.

The announcement comes after One Network last month issued an advisory regarding the replacement of older M-Tags.

According to the earlier notice, M-Tags older than five years could be replaced free of cost until May 31, 2026. However, replacement charges for old M-Tags increased to Rs. 150 from June 1.

The company also warned that M-Tags older than five years will be blocked from July 1, 2026 if they are not replaced before the deadline. After July 1, motorists will have to pay Rs. 300 for the issuance of a replacement M-Tag.
