Gwadar Airport Navigation System Temporarily Suspended

The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has temporarily suspended the radio navigation system at Gwadar Airport due to a technical fault.

According to PAA, the airport’s Doppler Very High Frequency Omnidirectional Range (DVOR) system will remain unavailable until June 16. The authority has also issued a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) to inform flight crews about the suspension of the facility.

Officials said technical teams are working to fix the fault. In the meantime, alternative procedures have been advised to ensure the safe arrival and departure of flights.

Flight operations at Gwadar Airport will continue under alternative arrangements until the DVOR system is restored.
