As Pakistan continues to reel under intense heatwave conditions, a bike mechanic from Punjab has won praise online after coming up with a simple but clever cooling system designed especially for motorcyclists.
The mechanic, who runs Zubair Bike Repairing and is also active as a YouTuber and content creator, recently went viral for showcasing a DIY setup aimed at helping bikers stay cool while travelling in scorching weather.
In the video, he can be seen fitting a basic water sprinkler mechanism onto a motorcycle’s handlebars. The system is connected to a large water bottle mounted on the side of the bike and sprays fresh water onto the rider while the motorcycle is in use.
The hack, while low-cost and unconventional, struck a chord with social media users who described it as a practical response to Pakistan’s extreme summer conditions. Many praised the mechanic for his ingenuity, creativity, and ability to think of a real-world solution for riders who spend long hours on the road in direct sunlight.
The timing of the viral clip is notable, as large parts of the country are currently facing harsh, dry, and dangerously hot weather.
Recent reports indicate that Lahore is expected to remain in the grip of severe heatwave conditions, with daytime temperatures hovering around 44°C to 45°C and very little relief at night.
In Karachi, the situation has been made worse by humidity, with the “feels-like” temperature reportedly touching 54°C even though the actual recorded temperature was lower.
Earlier seasonal forecasts had already warned that above-normal temperatures were likely across much of Pakistan, with Punjab and Sindh particularly vulnerable to prolonged heat spells.
Authorities have continued to urge citizens to avoid unnecessary exposure to the sun, stay hydrated, and limit outdoor activity during peak afternoon hours.

not news worthy, not an invention. this is sh*t.
