Gold prices staged a sharp increase in Pakistan on Friday after international rates shot up in the past 12 hours.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association, the price of gold per tola in Pakistan increased by Rs. 7,250 to Rs. 439,966.
The price of 10 grams of gold also appreciated by Rs. 6,525 to settle at Rs. 375,947.
Gold lost Rs. 9,720 on Thursday to settle at Rs. 432,716.
In the international market, gold prices jumped by $72 to settle at $4,175 per ounce.
Silver also appreciated in value on the same day. It gained Rs. 190 to settle at Rs. 7,079 per tola on Friday.
