Punjab BS Nursing Students Can Now Apply for Migration Through UHS

The University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore has opened online applications for the migration of BSN Generic 4-Year Degree Program students enrolled in public sector nursing colleges across Punjab.

According to the public notice, the migration process is being carried out under the Migration Policy for Public Sector Nursing Colleges, which was notified by the Government of Punjab on 13 May 2026. Eligible students can apply for migration to the 2nd or 3rd year of the BSN Generic program, subject to the prescribed conditions.

The online application process began on 15 June 2026 at 9:00 AM, while the deadline to submit applications is 29 June 2026 by 5:00 PM. UHS has made it clear that applications will only be accepted through the official UHS Migration Portal. Manual forms or hard-copy submissions will not be entertained.

The facility is important for nursing students who want to move to another public sector nursing college due to academic, family, travel, or personal preference reasons. However, migration will be allowed strictly on merit-cum-preference basis, so students are advised to review the eligibility criteria, available seats, and conditions carefully before submitting their applications.

Who Can Apply?

Only BSN Generic students who meet the required academic criteria can apply for migration. For the annual system, students can apply if they have passed the required previous year. Students seeking migration into the 2nd year must have passed first-year BSN, while students seeking migration into the 3rd year must have passed second-year BSN.

For the semester system, students can apply according to their completed semesters. Students applying for migration into the 3rd semester must have passed the first and second semesters of BSN. Students applying for migration into the 4th semester must have passed the first, second, and third semesters.

Students who have failed and are waiting for supplementary examination results are not eligible to apply.

Important Conditions for Migration

UHS has clearly mentioned that migration will be allowed only under specific conditions. Migration will be allowed strictly on merit-cum-preference basis. Students will have to select their preferred colleges while applying, and the final placement will depend on merit, preference, and available seats.

Migration will not be allowed in the first year, including the 1st and 2nd semesters. It will also not be allowed in the final year of the program.

Students cannot shift from morning to evening sessions or from evening to morning sessions. Similarly, migration between annual and semester systems will not be allowed. The academic session of the student will remain unchanged.

UHS has also clarified that a student can migrate only once during the entire four-year BSN program. Migration within the same city is not allowed, and mutual migration between students will also not be permitted.

• Visit the UHS Migration Portal.
• Open the BSN Generic migration application section.
• Fill out the prescribed online application form.
• Enter personal, academic, and college details carefully.
• Select preferences for institutions where seats are available in the relevant year or semester.
• Review the order of preference before submission, as it will be final and cannot be changed later.
• Generate the processing fee challan of Rs. 500.
• Deposit the fee at any branch of the Bank of Punjab or through online banking.
• Upload proof of payment with the application.
• Upload all required scanned documents.
• Submit the application before the deadline.
