Lahore Gets First 180kW EV Fast-Charging Station

The Lahore Electric Supply Company (Lesco) on Friday inaugurated Lahore’s first 180kW electric vehicle (EV) fast-charging station on Shami Road, marking a significant step toward promoting electric mobility in the city.

Lesco Chief Executive Officer Engr M Ramzan Butt inaugurated the facility. According to the power utility, the company provided a fast-track grid connection and technical support to ensure the station became operational within a short period.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Ramzan Butt said Lesco was committed to supporting Pakistan’s shift toward electric vehicles through the development of modern power infrastructure.

He described the launch as an important milestone and reaffirmed Lesco’s commitment to facilitating additional EV charging projects across its service area to meet future transportation and energy demands.
