Lahore Qalandars have unveiled their squad for the 2026 Global Super League (GSL) and announced the appointment of former Australian fast bowler Shaun Tait as the team’s new head coach for the tournament.
The announcement was made by Lahore Qalandars owner and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Atif Rana during a press conference on Monday ahead of the tournament, which will be held in Guyana from July 23 to August 1.
Former New Zealand all-rounder Michael Bracewell has been named captain of the side, which features a mix of international stars and emerging Pakistani talent.
Welcoming Tait to the franchise, Atif Rana said the former Australian pacer brings valuable international coaching experience and a winning mindset. He added that the squad has been carefully assembled to combine youth with experience while providing promising players with exposure at the global level.
The 2026 Global Super League will feature five teams competing in 11 matches, with all fixtures scheduled to take place at Providence Stadium in Guyana.
Lahore Qalandars will open their campaign against Cricket Victoria on July 23 before facing Central Stags on July 24, Guyana Amazon Warriors on July 26, and Rangpur Riders on July 29.
This will be Lahore Qalandars’ second appearance in the tournament after participating in the inaugural edition in 2024, where they finished fourth. Bangladesh Premier League champions Rangpur Riders won the first-ever GSL title.
