PIA Increases Free Baggage Allowance for Key China Route

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced a significant increase in free baggage allowances and improved travel facilities for passengers on its Beijing route, aiming to enhance convenience for travelers between Pakistan and China.

Under the newly revised policy, Economy Class passengers can now carry 50 kilograms of baggage, an increase from 40 kilograms.

Executive Economy passengers will see their allowance increase from 50 to 60 kilograms. The airline stated that these changes provide one of the most competitive baggage provisions in the regional market.

Beyond baggage, PIA has strengthened its network through partnerships with Air China and Shenzhen Airlines. These interline arrangements now allow passengers from 25 Chinese cities to travel seamlessly to Islamabad via Beijing with a single through fare and smoother connections.

“Combined with relatively low fares, the enhanced baggage policy and expanded network are part of our broader effort to improve affordability and the customer experience,” a PIA official shared on Sunday.

The airline reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the air bridge between Pakistan and China, noting that these improvements are specifically designed to benefit students, business travelers, families, and tourists.

The move further supports the longstanding bilateral friendship by making international travel more accessible and comfortable.
