Banks to Remain Closed on July 1

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced that all banks across the country will remain closed for public dealing on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, in observance of the annual bank holiday marking the start of the new fiscal year.

“The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed for public dealing on Wednesday, July 01, 2026, which will be observed as Bank Holiday,” the regulator said in a circular issued a short while ago.

SBP further clarified that all banks/DFIs /MFBs shall, therefore, remain closed for public dealing on the aforementioned date.

However, all employees of the banks / DFIs / MFBs will attend the office as usual, it added.
