Oppo Reno16 F Series Launches With Big Batteries and 4K Selfie Videos

Oppo has introduced the Reno16 F and Reno16 FS for international markets alongside the global versions of the Reno16 and Reno16 Pro.

The two phones share most of their specifications, including a 120Hz AMOLED display, three rear cameras, a 50MP ultrawide selfie camera, and the MediaTek Dimensity Energy 7300 chipset.

Design and Display

The Oppo Reno16 F and Reno16 FS feature 6.57-inch AMOLED displays with Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 10-bit colour depth. The screens reach a peak brightness of 1,400 nits and have a pixel density of 397 pixels per inch.

Both phones have an optical fingerprint sensor built into their displays. They also support Splash Touch, allowing the screens to remain responsive when used with wet fingers. The Reno16 F and Reno16 FS carry IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for protection against dust and water.

Oppo’s 3D Pop Planet Design is available on the Pop White version of the international Reno16 F.

The international Reno16 F will be offered in Pop White, Twilight Violet, and Dream Purple. Reno16 FS is available in white and purple.

Internals and Software

Both phones use the MediaTek Dimensity Energy 7300 chipset and run ColorOS 16 based on Android 16.

The international Reno16 F is available with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, while the Reno16 FS has 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

Oppo has not confirmed how many Android operating-system upgrades or security updates the phones will receive. Both models also include an AI Snap Key.

Cameras

The Oppo Reno16 F and Reno16 FS have three cameras inside a squircle-shaped rear camera module.

Their camera systems include a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilisation, a 50MP telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom and optical image stabilisation, and an 8MP ultrawide camera with autofocus.

Both phones have a 50MP ultrawide selfie camera with autofocus and a 100-degree field of view. The main and front cameras support 4K video recording.

The phones also include 4K Auto Straighten Video, which corrects up to five degrees of tilt while recording to keep footage level during movement.

Battery and Pricing

The international Oppo Reno 16 F has a 7,000mAh battery with support for 80W charging. The Reno16 FS  has a 6,500mAh battery with 45W charging support.

In Germany, the Oppo Reno 16 F with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage costs $625. The Oppo Reno16 FS with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage is priced at $740.
