The Punjab Education Curriculum Training & Assessment Authority (PECTAA) Board has approved the payment of salaries for three managing directors appointed at the administrative level, resolving an issue that had remained pending for several months.
According to details, three managing directors had been hired in PECTAA, each with a monthly salary of Rs. 1 million. However, payment was halted after objections were raised over the salaries.
Sources said the matter was later referred to the relevant provincial board for review. After a detailed examination, recommendations were prepared and forwarded to the provincial cabinet.
The cabinet has now approved those recommendations, clearing the way for the release of salaries.
With the approval in place, all three managing directors, who had reportedly been waiting for their dues for the past eight months, will now be able to receive their pending payments.
The decision closes a long-running administrative issue that had delayed salary disbursement despite the appointments already having been made.
