KP Launches Summer Learning Festival for Students

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Elementary and Secondary Education Department is set to launch a Summer Learning and Grooming Festival for government school students during the summer vacations.

According to an official statement, the initiative will be launched in phases, with around 2,000 students from classes 6 to 12 participating in the first phase.

The students will come from 19 districts across the province, including southern and merged districts, and will attend residential summer camps in Swat, Mansehra, and Abbottabad.

The program has been designed to combine academic learning with recreational activities, personality development, leadership training, teamwork, sports, cultural interaction, adventure, and creative learning opportunities.

Speaking during a briefing on the summer festival plan, Elementary and Secondary Education Minister Arshad Ayub Khan said the initiative aimed at the holistic development of students by providing them with learning opportunities, confidence-building, and healthy extracurricular activities.

He said many talented students, especially those from southern and merged districts, have limited access to such opportunities. The festival, he added, would allow them to broaden their exposure, develop leadership qualities, build confidence, and interact with students from different parts of the province.

The minister directed all concerned authorities to ensure high standards of management, safety, and hospitality throughout the camps. He said every aspect of the program should be carefully planned to provide participants with a safe, comfortable, and memorable experience.

The festival will feature academic enrichment sessions, creative learning activities, sports, adventure, cultural interaction, leadership exercises, and recreational events.
