Samsung’s First Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide Confirmation is Here

Samsung has started teasing its next wide-screen foldable after months of leaks and rumours surrounding the device, which is widely expected to launch as the Galaxy Z Fold 8.

The company has not officially revealed the phone or confirmed its name. However, its latest social media campaign provides the first official indication that a Galaxy foldable with a wider shape is coming. The next generation of Galaxy Z foldables is expected to debut at a Galaxy Unpacked event on July 22.

Official Teaser

Samsung has published six cryptic teaser videos across its social media accounts, including YouTube and Instagram.

Although the videos do not show the phone directly, they repeatedly use objects, shapes, and visual arrangements that emphasize a wider form factor.

Samsung also uses phrases including “A New Shape” and “A Bold Stroke,” apparently pointing to the redesigned proportions expected for the Galaxy Z Fold 8.

The campaign supports previous reports that Samsung is preparing a shorter and wider foldable instead of relying only on the taller and narrower design used by its previous book-style Fold models.

Samsung has not yet announced the date of its next Galaxy Unpacked event.

However, reports indicate that the company plans to unveil its new foldable devices on July 22. The wider Galaxy Z Fold8 is expected to appear alongside the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Flip8.

With the teaser campaign now underway, Samsung is likely preparing to confirm the event and provide further details about its next foldable lineup.
