Govt Reduces Petrol Price, Keeps Diesel Unchanged to Start FY27

The price of petrol will be reduced while high-speed diesel (HSD) will remain unchanged to start the 2026-27 fiscal year, ProPakistani has learnt from verified sources.

Petrol will be reduced by Rs. 2 to Rs. 297 per litre, while diesel will remain at Rs. 315 per litre for the next seven days.

An official notification by the Petroleum Division will soon be shared to confirm the new rates.

The new rates will remain in effect for one more week.

Last week, the prices of petrol were kept unchanged, while in the current week, a climate levy of Rs. 5 was imposed on petrol and diesel in accordance with the Finance Act 2026.

On June 26, petrol was kept unchanged at Rs. 299 per litre, while diesel was retained at Rs. 311 per litre.
