KP Tourism Authority Issues Safety Guidelines for Tourists

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tourism Authority has launched a special safety awareness campaign at popular tourist destinations following recent fatal accidents.

The authority began distributing brochures and pamphlets containing safety instructions to both local and foreign tourists. It has advised visitors to stay away from rivers, streams, and other hazardous locations.

The Tourism Authority has deployed special awareness teams across the Hazara and Malakand divisions. The campaign is currently underway at major tourist spots, including Chakdara, Swat, Naran, and Chitral.

The move comes after a passenger bus fell into a ravine in Dana Sar on Friday, killing 40 people. The bus was travelling from Quetta to Peshawar when the accident occurred.

In a separate incident earlier this week, a boat capsized at Saifullah Lake in Swat, resulting in the deaths of seven members of one family, while one person remains missing.

The Tourism Authority aims to prevent further accidents by educating tourists about safety measures at popular destinations.
