The Lahore Education Authority has assigned teachers to help complete the city’s private school survey after delays slowed progress across the city.
Officials said Lahore has more than 14,000 private schools, but the authority has completed the online survey of only 6,000 schools so far. The delay pushed the authority to expand the survey team and speed up the process.
During the survey, officials identified 324 unregistered schools and sealed them on the spot. The authority said it is taking immediate action against institutions that operate without registration.
The Lahore Education Authority said the online survey of all private schools is still underway and that it expects to complete 100% of the process this week.
