Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has launched a “Responsible Citizen Award” campaign to encourage timely reporting of crimes, harassment, suspicious activities, and emergency situations.
According to PSCA officials, citizens who help law enforcement agencies by reporting public safety issues through official channels will be recognized and rewarded under the initiative.
The first award was given to a Lahore resident who reported an abandoned child through the Public Safety App. Following the report, Safe City teams took immediate action and helped reunite the child safely with his family.
PSCA appreciated the citizen’s timely response and responsible conduct, saying public cooperation is essential for building a safer society. The authority urged citizens to report emergencies and suspicious activities without delay.
