Pakistan secured their second consecutive victory at the 2026 AVC Men’s U18 Volleyball Championship after defeating Kazakhstan in straight sets to book a place in the quarterfinals.
Playing at the Haikou Wuyuanhe Gymnasium in Haikou, China, Pakistan produced a dominant performance to win the Group C clash 3-0.
The young Pakistani side controlled the match from the opening set and gave Kazakhstan little opportunity to recover. Pakistan won 25-14, 25-12, and 25-9, displaying strength in attack, defense, and serving.
The result followed Pakistan’s convincing victory over Kyrgyzstan in their opening match. Pakistan won that contest 25-10, 25-19, and 25-17, combining strong defensive work with powerful attacking play.
Back-to-back straight-set victories have confirmed Pakistan’s qualification for the knockout stage with one group match still remaining.
Pakistan will now face Thailand in their final Group C match on Tuesday. The fixture will allow the team to extend their winning run and improve their position before the quarterfinals.
The Asian Under-18 Championship features some of the continent’s leading youth teams and provides an important platform for developing future international players.
With two dominant victories already secured, Pakistan have emerged as one of the standout teams in the group stage.
Coaches and officials credited the players for their discipline and consistency, while team management said the players remain focused on approaching the tournament one match at a time.
