Karachi Traffic Police Warn of E-Challan Scam

Karachi Traffic Police have warned the public against fake text messages and fraudulent e-challan notifications sent by scammers impersonating the department’s official 1915 helpline.

The police said fraudsters are circulating deceptive text messages claiming that recipients have committed traffic violations and urging them to pay fines through fake links.

Authorities advised citizens to avoid clicking on suspicious links or responding to unverified SMS messages. They also urged the public not to share any personal or financial information unless they have confirmed the message is genuine.

Karachi Traffic Police said they issue e-challan notifications only through authorized channels and asked anyone who receives a suspicious SMS or e-challan notice to verify it by contacting the 1915 helpline before taking any action.
